Blueing

There is two types of finish you can achieve via this process
matte and gloss (matte flat) (gloss shinny)
the first method requires bead blasting before the treatment and the second requires polishing which is more time consuming and therefore more costly.

heres some prepared parts awaiting the blue notice that some parts are polished and some are bead blasted to achieve the different finishes required.
 


Note : Not all metals can be blued successfully due to their metallic make up
examples of this might be a Winchester mod 94 lever action which have a high tin content
also many old shotguns will not hot blue due to the metals they are made from.
there's also a high chance of the barrel beads or ribs which in many old shotguns is sweated on with tin or lead coming off.
In these cases we can try the cold blue process which is not as good and takes longer
